Community and business leaders joined officials from TMI Hospitality, Inc., at the groundbreaking of Fargo’s first Residence Inn by Marriott. The $10 million extended-stay hotel will be constructed, owned and operated by TMI. Approximately 45 people will be employed at the 92-suite hotel when it is completed next summer. 

“Our robust economy creates the demand for guests with longer stays in our community to have an option with more amenities, whether they are here for business or with their family,” said Lauris Molbert, CEO of TMI Hospitality. “This is actually the first of several new hotels we have planned for Fargo – Moorhead, as this community continues to support our company’s growth and success as well as create the need for more rooms for guests.”

The Residence Inn by Marriott will be located at 4335 23rd Ave. S., Fargo, located near dining, shopping, recreation and health care facilities. Each suite is suitable for extended-stay guests and caters to business travelers and small families who prefer added comfort. Suites are available in one- or two-bedroom configurations and include a sitting area, business desk with ergonomic chair, high-speed internet and a kitchen. Guests at the Residence Inn also enjoy a broad selection of amenities, including a full breakfast buffet, complimentary evening socials, swimming pool, exercise facility, outdoor patio with fireplace, meeting rooms, business center, on-site laundry and dry cleaning service.

TMI Hospitality is pleased to announced the start of construction on the new 103-room Residence Inn by Marriott hotel in Niles, Ohio. The property will be attached to Eastwood Mall, offering guests 200 retail stores, dining and numerous other amenities just steps away from their hotel room.

The four-story Residence Inn will comprise 103 suites, suitable for extended-stay guests. These suites, in one- and two-bedroom configurations, are perfect for business travelers or small families who prefer added comfort while traveling. Each suite will feature a sitting area, business desk with ergonomic chair, high-speed internet and a kitchen. Guests at the Residence Inn will enjoy a broad selection of amenities, including a full breakfast buffet, complimentary evening socials, swimming pool, exercise facility, outdoor patio with fireplace, meeting rooms, business center, on-site laundry and dry cleaning service. The hotel is expected to welcome its first guests in late 2013.

The change was a way to honor and recognize TMI’s past, while energizing the company as it embarks on plans to build or finish more than two dozen hotels in the coming years, said Lauris Molbert, who became the company’s CEO in August.

“We have aspirations to refocus and move forward, and there’s nothing like a name change to have a platform,” said Molbert, who came to TMI from Otter Tail Corp., where he was CEO and executive vice president.
